The city of Kinston and the eastern part of North Carolina has so much to offer. The Bentley is almost centrally located in eastern NC. Most Kinstonians live with a "metropolitan point of view" --considering the coastal plain as one large city with beautiful highways between destinations. Not to mention the glorious climate!

North Carolina's capitol of Raleigh
is just an hour and a half to the west, via several easy, beautiful routes. The NC Museum of Art, The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, EXPLORIS an Interactive Museum about the World, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences --the largest natural history museum in the Southeastern United States, plus the big city restaurants, shops, malls, sporting events, concerts, -and everything you may already enjoy or appreciate can probably be experienced in the Triangle.

About the same distance (the other direction) is the Atlantic Ocean
at Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, or Emerald Isle to the southeast. Visit the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, plus further connections via the NC Ferry System to the Outer Banks and a 2.5 hour ferry ride to Ocracoke. North Carolina's famous lighthouses are wonderful stops along our coastline.

50 minutes to Wilson
northwest to pickup I95 heading north or 264 to Raleigh. Barton College is at Wilson and the Imagination Station for the kiddies.

40 minutes skip north to Greenville for the symphony, opera, performance art, and shopping

30 minutes drive to the southeast to New Bern (the Neuse River that passes through Kinston widens at New Bern) for spectacular sailing along the Neuse to the coast with plenty of scenic locations along the way. The Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway connects boaters north and south

60 minutes to Jacksonville to the south and the Marine base of Camp LeJeune with BX

90 minutes to Wilmington a fast growing mecca for northerners, Wilmington offers old town charm and gorgeous beach and waterfront access. The Bald Head Island ferry is just 40 minutes further southeast at Southport for a truly delicious North Carolina beach experience. And yet another North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher near Wilmington

30 minutes drive west to Goldsboro Seymour Johnson Air Force Base with BX

90 minutes to Fayetteville southwest to Fort Bragg and Pope AFB and pickup I95 heading south

3 hours to Asheboro and the North Carolina ZOO to the west of Raleigh

5 hours west to Asheville and scenic mountain waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Parkway

How about that? What a great place to live or visit!
